This design is based on the Spitfire (2I-E, serial number MK636) flown by Flt Lt Henry “The Eagle of Malta” McLeod.  Henry was a Canadian flying ace with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII achieving 21 victories. During his service he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross along with the Distinguished Flying Cross and Bar.   He was declared missing during a mission on September 7^th, 1944 with the remains of his aircraft being located in 1949.  He was 28 at the time of his death.
