Lancaster KB882 is a Canadian-built Avro Lancaster that served with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) during and after World War II. Initially used in anti-submarine patrols and bomber escort missions, KB882 later played a significant role in post-war reconnaissance missions during the Cold War, particularly in mapping and photo-reconnaissance operations across the Arctic. After its retirement, KB882 was displayed at a museum in Edmundston, New Brunswick, for many years. Recently, it was relocated to the National Air Force Museum of Canada in Trenton, Ontario, where it is being restored to honour its historical significance.
